HOW THE PIECES MOVE: A REFRESHER
For players new to chess, Chess Clash offers clear movement rules and principles. Pawns advance one or two squares on their first move, then one square thereafter. Pawns advance diagonally. Knights move in an L-shape (two squares in one direction, one square perpendicular to that). Rooks can move any distance vertically or horizontally. Bishops can move any distance diagonally. Kings move one square in any direction. Queens move any distance in any direction (vertically, horizontally, or diagonally). Checkmate your opponent’s king to win the game. This means the king is under attack (in check) and has no legal move to escape the attack. These movement rules provide incredible tactical depth. Mastering the interaction between the pieces, understanding positional play, and developing strategic insight ensure a continuous learning curve that makes chess eternally fascinating.
OFFLINE COMPUTER MODE FOR PRACTICE
